Try On Policy

Effective Date: December 1, 2025

We designed our Try On policy to ensure every bride has a fair chance to Try On at home, and to keep the experience seamless and stress-free. By requesting a Try On at Home, you agree to the terms below: 

Policy Highlights:

  • We only ship to US addresses. We do not ship to PO Boxes, APO/FPO military addresses, or freight-forwarding services. 
  • Try On fees cover round-trip shipping, packaging, and garment preparation and are non-refundable once the cancellation window has passed.
  • You have 3 calendar days including the date of delivery to try on your piece(s). 
  • Returns must be dropped off at UPS or a UPS Access Point by the end of Day 3. 
  • Do not remove any tags – this is considered damage and you will be liable for the full retail price plus tax of the item. 
  • Items may be worn indoors for personal evaluation only. They may not be worn outdoors or used for any other purpose (e.g., events, weddings, photo shoots, or public appearances) unless granted written permission by The Real Bride.
  • You will be charged additional fees for late, damaged, or unreturned items.
  • You may apply up to $100 of your Try On fee toward a purchase of $650 or more.

How It Works

Select Your Try On Pieces: 

Add Try On–eligible pieces to your cart. Each item lists a flat shipping & handling fee, which covers round-trip delivery and packaging. These fees do not represent a rental or product usage charge. 

Payment Authorization:

By placing a Try On order, you authorize The Real Bride to store your payment information through our secure payment processor for the sole purpose of covering incidentals related to your Try On order. You will see this as "Payment Authorization" in your shopping cart and at checkout. 

We reserve the right to charge your payment method up to the full retail price plus tax of any item that is:

  • Returned late
  • Returned damaged, stained, or in need of repair 
  • Missing tags 
  • Not returned at all

You will not be charged unless one of these conditions occurs. We will email you to inform you of all charges.

Delivery: 

  • You select your preferred Try On start date when you add your item(s) to the cart. 
  • You will receive tracking information via email as soon as your Try On order has shipped.
  • Once shipped, your order may take 3-5 business days to arrive. Delivery timelines may vary based on carrier delays. 

Delivery Timeline Disclaimer
All scheduled Try On dates are considered target windows. While we do our best to align delivery with your selected date, shipping timelines are ultimately determined by the carrier. Packages may arrive earlier or later than expected, and The Real Bride is not responsible for delays or early arrivals once the package is in the carrier’s possession. Your Try On period begins on the date the carrier marks the package as delivered.

Try On Period: 

You’ll have 3 calendar days from the date of delivery to try on your items. Returns must be dropped off at UPS or a UPS Access Point by the end of Day 3. 

Example: Your Try On is delivered on a Monday
Day 1: Monday (try on)
Day 2: Tuesday (try on)
Day 3: Wednesday (must return by end of day)
Day 4-10: Late fees apply ($15/day)
Day 11: You are charged the full retail price + tax of the items

If tracking shows Delivered but you cannot locate the package, contact us within 24 hours so we can assist with a carrier inquiry.

Usage Limitations: 

The Try On experience is provided solely for temporary, personal evaluation. Items may be worn indoors for personal evaluation only. They may not be worn outdoors or used for any other purpose (events, weddings, photo shoots, public appearances) unless we approve in writing.

Returning Your Items: 

  • Use the provided prepaid return label to send all items back in the original packaging. This includes: dress clamps, dust bags, hangers, dress bags, Try On pieces. Missing items can result in additional charges.
  • Drop off your Try On package at the nearest UPS or UPS Access Point
  • For peace of mind, we recommend requesting a scan at drop-off to confirm your return was processed.

Late Returns

If your return is not dropped off with UPS by the end of Day 3, late fees of $15/day begin on Day 4 and continue until it is dropped off.

If the return is still not received and scanned by the carrier within 7 calendar days after the original return deadline, you will be charged up to the full retail price plus tax of any unreturned item(s). 

Days 4-10: $15/day late fee for each day beyond Day 3
Day 11: You will be charged the full retail price + tax of any unreturned items

Condition of Items

All items must be returned in their original condition, free of stains, tears, odors, or other damages.

Do not remove any tags attached to the items. Items returned without tags will be considered damaged and may incur charges up to the full retail price plus tax of the item.

If an item is returned damaged, stained, or otherwise unusable, you may be charged for repairs up to the full retail price plus tax of the item. 

Shipping Costs

All Try On shipping and return costs are included in the Try On fee listed on the product pages. 

Applying Try On Credit Toward Your Purchase

Once your Try On is returned and processed, you’ll receive an email with a one-time-use discount code equal to your Try On fee. This code can be applied toward a future purchase.

  • The maximum credit is $100 from one Try On order
  • Credit is valid only on purchases of $650 or more (before tax and shipping)
  • Credits cannot be combined across multiple Try On orders
  • Code must be manually applied at checkout
  • Credits are non-transferable and cannot be applied retroactively to past orders
  • Credit expires 14 months after issue date

Refunds and Cancellations

You may cancel your Try On order for a full refund up to 6 calendar days before your scheduled start date.

After this window, your order may already be in transit and is no longer eligible for a refund.

Carrier Loss or Damage

You will not be held liable for loss or damage to items once your return package is in the carrier’s possession. The carrier is considered to have possession when your package receives its first acceptance scan. For this reason, we recommend getting a scan at drop off

Customer Responsibility

  • Provide a deliverable U.S. shipping address and accurate contact information.
  • Return all items and included components in original condition, with tags attached.
  • Drop off your return by the end of the 3rd day of your Try On period.
  • Authorize charges to your payment method under the Payment Authorization described in this policy for late fees, damage, missing tags or components, or unreturned items.
