Having your pieces made-to-measure improves overall proportions and often reduces the need for major tailoring. But because it’s done virtually, we can’t guarantee a perfect fit. We recommend a final fitting with a local tailor to make any small adjustments and ensure everything looks and feels just right.

Most brides need fewer alterations with made-to-measure pieces, but some tailoring is still expected since all of our bodies are unique. You may still need slight corset fit tweaks, bust adjustments, or bustle creation . We create the foundation for a better fit, and your tailor helps fine-tune the rest.

Nope. We offer made-to-measure on every piece (except veils) at no additional cost.

Made-to-measure means we adjust our existing designs to your proportions for a more personalized fit. It’s not the same as a custom design or bespoke process, which typically involves designing a gown from scratch, drafting new patterns, and conducting multiple in-person fittings.

Our made-to-measure process is done virtually, so while it offers a closer fit than standard sizing, it doesn’t guarantee the same level of precision. We see it as a thoughtful middle ground minimizing tailoring needs without the high cost of fully custom bridal.

The measurements we ask for depend on the piece you’re ordering. For example, a corset top may require bust, waist, and hips, while a skirt might need waist, hips, and waist-to-floor length (including heel height). We won’t overwhelm you with unnecessary measurements—just the essentials we need to create a more accurate, proportionally balanced fit.

We recommend all brides, regardless of experience, visit a local tailor or seamstress to get measured. Accurate measurements are hard to take on your own, and a professional will know exactly how to get them right. Since nothing we ask for is unusual or overly complex, the process is quick, easy, and well worth it for something this important.
