how to make the most out of your try on at home

Try On Guide

Start your Try On

How to Prepare

Choose your space:

Set up in front of a full-length mirror. Give yourself a little room to move, and keep the area clean so the pieces stay protected.

What to wear:

  • Nude underwear and any shapewear you plan to wear on your wedding day
  • Your wedding shoes or a ones of a similar heel height

Skip the bra. Our corsets and tops have built-in support, and bras can change the fit. Pasties are totally fine if you prefer.

Invite your circle:

One of the best parts of trying on at home is choosing exactly who’s with you.

We suggest having at least one person available to help you into your pieces since clipping can be difficult without help.

Trying on Your Pieces

Samples won’t fit perfectly, which is why we include clamps in every Try On order. Clip excess fabric to get a feel for how the pieces will look once tailored.

We recommend having someone help, since this can be tricky to do on your own.

How to Use Dress Clamps

Step 1: Put on each piece and fully fasten them

Stand tall with relaxed shoulders. Smooth the fabric, then take a quick look at where each piece sits on your body before you clip anything. Use our product photos as your reference for how it should fit.

Move around

See how your look feels in motion so you know what to expect on your wedding day.

Capture the moment

Take lots of photos and videos from different angles, both while standing still and moving. They’ll help you see details you might miss in the mirror.

Fit

Because samples likely won't fit you perfectly, focus on overall design and silhouette. Tailoring will perfect the final look.

Fabric & feel

Notice how the fabric drapes, moves, and feels against your skin.

How you feel

Do you feel confident? Beautiful? Yourself? Is this how you want to feel on your wedding day?

A Few Gentle Reminders:

  • Avoid lotions, oils, or self-tanners that could transfer onto the fabric.
  • Be mindful of makeup, especially around necklines and collars.
  • Always hang garments or place them on a clean surface — never on the floor.
  • Step into skirts and gowns slowly to avoid catching heels or jewelry on the fabric.
  • Take your time getting dressed. Pulling too hard can strain delicate seams and closures.
  • Keep food and drinks away from your pieces to prevent spills.
  • Store everything in the garment bag when you’re not wearing it.
  • Please treat these samples with care so other brides can enjoy them too. Significant damage or stains may result in fees.
